We love it when our friends win raffle prizes and ask us along as their guest! In this case it was a fabulous cocktail making class followed by a Dumpling making class at Honkas - Bar + Eats in Potts Point. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon creating a Lychee Martini followed by the House Special of a PoPo Trio - Gin, Sake, Cucumber - with other cocktail-making virgins. After you have made a tray of dumplings you get to relax in the courtyard with a wine or two whilst the kitchen cooks-up your creations three ways: steamed, fried or deep-fried. They all turned out super yummy even if some of ours looked a little wonky!
Every six months or so the kids at Dulcie’s create a new cocktail each. They then invite the Quaffing Club - regular bar flys and industry supporters of the bar - to meet and test the new flavours and give our expert option on whether we think the latest inventions pass muster. We are not at liberty to discuss the members or rules of the club, but let’s just say we all know our vermouth from our liqueur and leave it at that.
Great to kick-off the new year with a booking - from one of our fave regulars - of Potts Point. Jennifer has come to three of our four Crafty Dining events and is a fierce advocate for The Sydney Connection.
Check-out our menu and images from Thursday night's very enjoyable Crafty Dining Potts Point event as part of the opening week of Sydney Craft Week and Good Food Month. We’ll let the photos from the fabulous Julie Samerski do the talking.
Café de la Fontaine is a French Café, Creperie, Patisserie, French Ice creamery and antique store located right in the heart of Potts Point, chosen for its vibrancy and long history as a destination of chic and elegance.
Our long term relationship with Golden Age Cinema began in 2016 when we began our Sydney Mardi Gras Festival dining walk event at the subterranean space which was formerly the offices of Paramount Pictures. Imbibing in a cocktail named after a classic film, a side of popcorn served in a cocktail shaker or a decadent antipasto platter to share.
Today we start our series "Support Local" in response to the current CV19 situation. Over the next 14 days we will publish a beautiful image from each of the small bars & restaurants who host us so graciously on our inner city dining walks.
The good news is Oxford Street, Darlinghurst is starting to feel like it’s old self again, pre-lockouts. And with that in mind we are moving things up and beginning our Darlo evenings at new-comer The Cat's Meow for our pre-dining walk cocktail spot!
