We are excited to announce the addition of Caravin to our Potts Point dining experience.

Tucked into the elegant two-level Art Deco space on the ground floor of the New Yorker building and seating just 24 diners, Caravin has been punching above its weight since first opening two years ago on Ward Avenue.

Caravin fast became a Potts Point favourite, the intimate salon space giving the small but efficient team freedom to be playful and inventive. Offering a weekly-changing menu that leans into rustic French flavours, dictated by seasonal produce. Think smoked beetroot tartare with wasabi and pomme gaufrettes, or caramelised scallops paired with a vichyssoise of artichoke, leeks, potatoes, onions and cream.

The vibe shifts with the seasons: on warm summer evenings aperitifs flow on the alfresco deck, with the footpath a riot of long limbs, expensive small dogs and stylish people. Whilst in the colder months the cosy, ambient dining room welcomes guests in a warm embrace under the soft glow of a fabulous crystal chandelier. The crowd is a mix of the young hip professionals, natural wine devotees, and older discerning creatives.

Co-owner and Sommelier Greg Bampton curates a 50-strong wine list with a particular love for naturals, carefully balanced with traditional pours to suit the Australian palate. The constantly evolving wine list ensures each visit offers the chance of a wonderful new discovery in the glass.

Caravin not just a place to eat and drink—its a neighbourhood haunt that captures the spirit of the buzzing Roslyn Quarter in every carefully curated detail.
