The much-loved Mille Vini re-opened its doors, under new management, after an extensive interior facelift in October 2021 with a new menu and drinks offering.

The menu has a strong emphasis on classic recipes from all Italian regions, with handcrafted pasta.Signature dishes include poached octopus salad, battered zucchini flower, truffle pecorino with blossom honey and a selection of freshly made crostini stracciatella. Our current fave is the wild mushroom, taleggio and truffle oil - a rich and decadent this dish will warm you up on a cold winters night.

A dark room with a black marble topped bar with black bar stools and glasses ahanging above. A botttle rack hangs above the glasses.

Just as the name suggests, Mille Vini - which means a thousand wines - has an extensive wine concept, with a focus on local producers with Italian varieties and new emerging Italian wines.

Located in one of the original Sydney sandstone buildings on iconic Crown Street, you can be assured of a warm Italian welcome from the charismatic Ando and his crew on arrival. As you push open the heavy glass door - with a beautifully crafted metal bunch of grapes for a door handle - you will either be ushered to a table in the wine bar downstairs or, if you are dining with a larger group, upstairs to the chic private dining room on the mezzanine. With a view of a fabulous antler chandelier and handsome multi-panned windows looking out onto tree lined Crown Street you feel like you are in for a very special evening.
