The current lockdown status of Sydney hasn't stopped the true entrepreneurs continuing to open new businesses in our hood.

Check-out the Roslyn Quarter next time your on an inner city walk about and discover Bloom Cafe Aperitivo and the re-opened Piccolo Bar.

Opening auspiciously on the first day of Spring, Bloom Cafe Aperitivo is a small but fabulous space bought to us by the very creative Mauro & Amel of House Bar & Bistrot. The cafe is very conveniently situated just behind the restaurant on Kellett Place.

The crew renovated the interiors themselves with a little help from their friends. Including the same mural artist who painted the walls of House with shells or oysters - depending how you perceive it. Make sure you look-up at the beautiful red floral pattern on the ceiling beam above the register.

Mauro is happily baking away from 4am and Amel has produced a stunning range of the contemporary ceramics that are for sale at the cafe. You can grab everything from a well-stuffed panini ( house made bread), breakfast pizza to a sweet-as Carmel slice. Marrickville based Sample Coffee are the beans of choice.

It's all takeaway for now, but the crew have plans for outdoor seating and aperitivo in the summer evenings. Can't wait!
