Across town we are very pleased to announce that one of our fave modern Korean restaurants, SOUL Dining, has joined our Surry Hills line-up.
The brainchild of Illa Kim ( PR & marketing) and Daero Lee (Head Chef) who opened SOUL as their first restaurant together in early 2019. After building and then opening the business through the tail-end of the light rail construction, they have created a loyal following with pre-theatre attendees - Belvoir Theatre is just across the road - and lovers of Asian cuisine with-a-twist.
Prepare to sink into a soft, blue velvet seat, in an industrial chic space with low light and great service. SOUl Dining has been described as too Korean to be called modern Australian, but not traditional enough to be called classic Korean.
We are planning to indulge in an innovative dessert accompanied by a dessert wine or cocktail treat at the end of a fabulous evening in the hood. We can’t wait to introduce our guests to this unique dining experience.
*Soul Dining has now moved to Sydney’s CBD district
We are excited to announce the addition of iki dining to our Potts Point dining experience. The latest arrival on bustling Llankelly Place, the funky pink neon and slick matt finish concrete fit-out has the locals intrigued. Inspired by the Japanese concept of Iki (粋) — a philosophy of refined simplicity and natural elegance
We are excited to announce the addition of Caravin to our Potts Point dining experience. Tucked into the elegant two-level Art Deco space on the ground floor of the New Yorker building and seating just 24 diners, Caravin has been punching above its weight since first opening two years ago on Ward Avenue, fast becoming a Popo favourite.
We are happy to announce our newest addition, Arms Length, on our Potts Point Tour. Formerly of Redfern, the Armslength crew has jumped the Oxford Street border to be part of the constantly evolving Kings Cross Quarter drinking & dining scene. The new operators have maintained the beautiful fig tree shaded courtyard in the front of the grand terrace facade, with ambient fairy lights setting the tone, and the comfy NYC leather booths lining the hall to the sexy back bar.
We are happy to announce our newest addition, Bar Conte, on our Surry Hills Tour. The World’s first dedicated Negroni Bar and Italian Restaurant in Sydney, offering a unique selection of over 30 Negronis made with premium products. The kitchen is overseen by chef and co-owner Steven De Vecchi. The menu features Italian dishes ranging from light Aperitivo snacks to hearty pastas.
Our newest addition to our Darlinghurst Dining Tour is Fortuna restaurant, located on the Darlo end of Victoria Street. Modern and stylish this dining room offers a unique and contemporary experience. The interior is elegant and sophisticated, featuring a fresh minimalist design with black and white décor, sleek furniture, and a beautiful lighting scheme that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Featuring street art and by-fold windows, opening out onto the street. Ideal on a hot summers evening for great people watching opportunities and soaking-up the laid-back Sydney vibe.
Our latest dining discovery, Dead Ringer, is on leafy Bourke Street in the heart of Surry Hills. Housed in a grand terrace house, with handsome wood joinery & leather upholstery, the two-sided dining room frames an equally handsome bar. The team has a genuine love of good hospitality and food paired with classy cocktails. We describe Dead Ringer to our guests as ‘a restaurant with a well-stocked bar’.
We have a new player onboard for our Darlinghurst dining tours: introducing Bar Nina on the corner of Crown & Stanley Streets. Right smack in the middle of East Sydney the restaurant opened in April 2021 - mere months before Lockdown 2.0 kicked-in. We had intentions of popping-down to check-out the menu and vibe but Rona got in the way. So it was lovely to finally go there recently for a Saturday afternoon rose & oysters and discover that yes this is a place we definitely want to bring our guests!
We are thrilled to announce that we are now including hot new comer Ezra on our Potts Point dining walk route. So far the Baklava ice cream for the dessert course, accompanied by a stunning Gilbert late harvest Reisling, Orange NSW, has been a big hit with our local guests.
1930s Kings Cross Sydney is resurrected through the atmosphere, style, flavours and culture of Dulcie's Kings Cross. The subterranean space was once a popular strip club by the name of Strip- a-rama. You can view the old club neon lights in the bathrooms.
Brix is Sydney’s only dedicated craft rum distillery and bar situated on leafy Bourke Street in the heart of Surry Hills.
