Our guests at the start of the afternoon in the courtyard at Ezra
Our Media Famil for Potts Point Partnership last Thursday, as part of the Potts Point Shop Late event, just got better and better as we went from restaurant to restaurant.
We were treated to a choice of two signature cocktails, Paloma or Limonana, at our first stop at the latest arrival in the hood Ezra on Kellett Street. We feasted on fresh hummus w/ radishes, smoked egg , macadamia muhammara w/ pomegranate; spanner crab falafel w/ avocado & tahini and house pita & Jerusalem bagels to mop it all up.
We then popped-up to Llankelly Place via Roslyn Street, which these days has a very complimentary creative & food providore community made-up of Penny’s Cheese Shop - imported & local cheese deli, Petal & Fern - event florist & purveyor of house plants, Hyde x Hair - men’s and women’s hairdresser, the famous Piccolo Bar and Jack Rabbit Slims - the barbershop. It’s so great to see this strip come alive!
Artichoke Buscetta at Et Al, Llankelly Place
In the heart of Llankelly we dined al fresco at Et Al - owned and operated by Stephen Craig and Alastair Little - serving Australian contemporary with a twist of Brit flair courtesy of Alastair - enjoying a glass of sparkling with baked Globe artichokes w/ gremolata on grilled sourdough; a chunky leak frittata and spring rolls with a surprise filling of panchetta & soft, gooey cheese.
The fabulous Joyce Maynge joined us briefly for a photo opportunity, before commencing her duties as head Drag Queen entertaining the late night shopping crowd.
We then headed down Macleay Street via a sticky-beak at the very shiny gin still out back of Kings Cross Distillery.
Michael Bradley from Melo's on Rockwell Crescent welcomed us with open arms for mains of Spaghetti Vongole accompanied by Sicilian garlic bread, olives and a green salad. The mosaic tiled dining room was just the right space for a large group to dine.
Back on the main drag we concluded our decadent afternoon of dining with a generous cheese platter at one of the longest-running restaurants in the hood Macleay St. Bistro.

Our guests were Michael Koziol, Deputy Editor at Sydney Morning Herald, Sun Herald; Sally Coates from Daily Telegraph and Margaret Rice of the Wentworth Courier. We were also joined by City of Sydney Councillor's Dr Kerryn Phellps, Councillor Christine Forster and Councillor Craig Chung. The conversation never stopped and our guests had a delightful afternoon re-discovering Potts Point.
