We are happy to announce our newest addition Ciao Fabbrica as an Entree venue on our Darlinghurst Dining Tour.
Following the closure of much-loved Italian eatery A Tavola, Darlinghurst’s pasta faithful didn’t have to wait long for a worthy successor.
Love Tilly Group’s favourite child the Darlo version of Fabbrica Pasta Bar, has been calling the iconic two-story terrace home for over two years, establishing its own crowd in the ‘hood and keeping the suburb’s pasta traditions very much alive.
The 80-seat venue delivers the signature dishes that have made Fabbrica a favourite amongst pasta aficionados, from classic spaghetti Cacio e Pepe to the ever-popular Cotoletta alla Milanese. Alongside these staples, the menu continues to evolve with site-specific dishes, including standouts such as beef short rib braised in Nebbiolo with cauliflower and gremolata—offering a refined twist on Italian comfort food.
A thoughtfully curated list of minimal-intervention Italian and Australian wines rounds out the experience, echoing the approach of sibling venues Ragazzi and Fabbrica CBD.
And fun fact: Matt Swieboda who opened the original small bar Love, Tilly Devine on Crown Lane, was the first venue owner to say ‘yes’ to our crazy idea of hopping from one venue to another way back in January 2013.. We will always be very grateful for his support of our new fledgling business. So you could say we are coming home to where it all started in our thirteenth year by dining at Fabbrica.
With its focus on quality ingredients, assured cooking and a warm, relaxed atmosphere, Fabbrica sits comfortably opposite The Waratah just across the road. We are happy to add another wonderful venue to our Darlinghurst offer.
