While we are still in lockdown here in Sydney there is only one thing to do: ORDER IN!

It feels good to duck-up to the front counter of the doorways and windows around the hood and grab our weekly takeaway treat from our favourite people. Even some of the die-hard "we-don't-do-takeaway" businesses are coming to the party now! Moving and taking action always feels better than sitting at home stewing about a situation that feels out of your control.

We have picked-out some unique offers from our regular haunts for you to check-out while the vaccination programme ramps-up and Delta realises it's not welcome in Sydney town.

We will keep posting on our Instagram account over the lockdown period, so keep an eye out for your favourite venues or be proactive and jump onto their Insta to check what's available each day.

SOUL Dining + Deli

Our friends at SOUL Dining and its sister cafe Soul Deli have launched Dosirak by Soul – three-part meal boxes that are available every Friday.

Dosirak are Korean packed meals. Soul’s will set you back $75 and serve two people, with starters, mains and desserts.

“This is an opportunity to experience a multi-course tasting menu of our newest dishes – including some we always wanted to do at Soul Dining, but never got the opportunity,” said Soul Group’s executive chef, Daero Lee.

10 William Street

A Paddington classic returns with wine bar 10 William Street re-opening more than a month after it paused for Sydney’s lockdown.

The petite venue will operate on Saturdays for the remainder of lockdown, to sell locals what it’s calling its “non-essential” provisions.

“ We’d been closed for about a month, and there was just a real energy from our staff to get back in the kitchen – that’s all they really wanted to do,” says
co-owner Gio Paradiso. “With this lockdown extended, it made sense to get something going.

Head-in for baked goods such as meatball pitas, fried ham sandwiches, sfogliatelle pastries and more. There will also be wine sold in packs or by-the-bottle.

Small’s Deli

Since this gorgeous deli first arrived on the scene over a year ago, we have eaten our way through most of the innovative sandwich menu.

Our favourites are still Mere Catherine - named after the former petite French establishment that occupied the space for a very long time - with brie, Serrano ham, butter on a fresh bagette.

And Florence and the Aubergine - named after one of our favourite female vocalists - and Finocchino (fennel & garlic salami), Eggplant, walnut paste, creamed pecorino cheese and rocket on a panini.

Marcel du Champigon - with mushroom & thyme ragu, taleggio, radicchio, sage gremolata on a toasted panini - is the newest taste sensation on the menu.

Add double smoked ham if you love your protein.
