Introducing Loluk

Loluk_06.jpg

Continuing on from last weeks announcement we would like to introduce  Loluk Bistro, located behind Taylor Square, right on the border of Surry Hills and Darlinghurst. We will be including Loluk on both dining walk routes.

We are excited to be working with Luc & Loic, the two brothers behind the Southern French cuisine in an elegant sandstone terrace with a very French courtyard. They even have a set of boules on the ground ready for the next round. On a balmy Sydney summers evening this is the  place to be.

Open since February 2017 Loluk has had some very favourable reviews since opening it's doors. We will be taking our guests for shared entree plates including: Pissaladière (Niçoise onion tart),  Salmon Gravlax, Homemade Terrine and  Double Cheese Soufflé. Feeling hungry yet?

A New Year = New Venues

Ricky's Kitchen

So it's a new year and we want to introduce some new venues to our Darlinghurst and Surry Hills Dining Walks. Over the next couple of weeks we will announce our new additions.

For Darlinghurst lovers this means we are now able to offer both 'ends' of Darlo to our guests: Oxford & Crown Streets or Darlinghurst Rd and Victoria Street. We are excited to be working with some fresh operators who have all been in the hospo' business for years, but in some cases have only just opened their own place in the last 6 months.

Black Bottle courtyard

So first up is our pre-walk drink & small food venue: Black Bottle smack in the middle of Darlinghurst Rd in a smart black terrace with a lovely, lush courtyard that backs onto Victoria Street. Run by Lucas Cristofle , who owns Black Bottle with fiancee Margie Noonan and friend Marc Tricot, these guys know how to pay you the right sort of attention. Must be the French charm and their need to always share the best in food & wine.

Chef Ricky pumps out beautiful tapas all night-long from his green tiled kitchen. A different menu each day provides variety and fresh, seasonal flavours. The wine list is succinct but on the money. You can try a different glass for each round or share a carafe.

Daily Specials

The atmosphere is sexy and moody with high chairs in the bar space or elegant garden furniture out back. Perfect to recline in whilst listening to some live music.
