Well here it is - our very first professional video promo! Woo hoo!

Big thanks to everyone who helped make us look so good: Golden Age Cinema & Bar for the location; Sam Hernández Priscilla Fernandez Ben Mulcahy and David our fabulous talent. Especially Lara Del Arte for her inspiring professionalism and talent behind the camera.

We have a renewed respect for everyone who has to speak directly to camera for a living - it's hard work! We will be building on this campaign and adding more video in the future.

Now to put this EVERYWHERE online!

Leezair Launches

The Sydney Connection Founder and Chief Guide Maree Sheehan

We are very happy to announce that we have now listed with Leezair - the new Sydney based experience platform start-up.  Leezair (a play on Leisure), is a digital marketplace that allows you to discover unique activities and experiences. It was created for those who strive to explore the unknown and undiscovered both abroad and locally.

It uses geo-location tagging to bring your itinerary to life. Leezair allows you to explore what's around you when you're on the go. When something sparks your fancy you can view availability, book and pay for it anytime, anywhere.

Their plan is to build a fluid economy in tourism, by providing businesses and entrepreneurs a level playing field. They are creating a new marketplace in the tourism industry that reduces barriers to entry, while still improving high standards in the industry.

So TSC is very excited to be part of such an awesume idea! Check out their blog profile on The Sydney Connection's founder and Chief Guide Maree Sheehan here, for some inside knowledge on our business.

New Site LIVE!

New Site LIVE!

We are very excited to announce that we are now LIVE with our new-look website! Coupled with a new offer - Wine & Dine with a Local -  this week is an exciting time in the life of The Sydney Connection.

Guests can now book year-round to wine & dine with a local at some of Sydney's top inner city restaurants. We have allocated specific days of the week for specific precincts. This is only a mid-week offer due to the nature of these walks but if you give us enough notice we can also arrange special events on Saturday nights..

Here is the new blurb: The Sydney Connection curates private dining walks around our favourite inner city precincts of Surry Hills Darlinghurst and Potts Point on a daily basis.

Accompanied by a well-connected guide, our walks are aimed at visitors and Sydneysiders who want to go ‘where the locals go’ for inspiring food, good service and cool interiors. We take bookings for between 1 - 10 Guests per booking and visit 4 venues on each walk. Enjoying a different course at each venue accompanied by matching wine.

We will still be offering special food events as part of the various festivals we have been associated with such as Good Food Month, Pyrmont Wine, Food & Art Festival and Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Big thanks to JK Blackwell @twoguineapigs photography for the lush images; Larry Singer for his technical assistance in moving the old to the new; the Girlfriend Club - always surround yourself with smart women! -  for all your helpful suggestions on how to make the site look better and all our family & friends for their unwavering support & encouragement.

We hope you like our new look! YAH!
