We are proud to announce that we are part of the Surry Hills Festival programme this year! In the lead-up to the festival date the Surry Hills Creative Precinct are staging five different creative trail events. They kindly invited us to create a dining walk that includes six restaurants from the Devonshire and Crown Street precinct. Choose from two different three course dining walks and re-discover the hood.

We kick off our Euro themed dining walk at the newly renovated Essenza Italian, which is located on the corner of Crown & Devonshire streets in the J Grocer building built in 1912, offers a contemporary Italian dinner menu that is constantly evolving, showcasing local produce with a twist. The wine list is predominately Italian varietal grapes, transporting you to Tuscany with every sip.

The new owners are continuing to operate Rogues café in the rustic courtyard, expanding from their current weekend hours to seven days a week by summer.  Looking forward to seeing the end result of their renovations – the Marmorino Venetian plaster wall is looking amazing - and enjoying an aperitivo or two on a summers evening.
